
Kindergarten and third grade celebrated Read Across America day by partnering up and reading Dr. Seuss books Thursday afternoon. #ReadAcrossAmerica











More than two dozen Livingston Manor musicians were accepted into the All-County Music Festival on Sunday, March 5, at Liberty High School. The festival was originally scheduled for March 3 and 4 but has been postponed because of projected inclement weather.
LMCS students chosen are:
Middle School Band: Anahi Rodriguez, first chair clarinet; Connor Casey, clarinet; Andrew Potoesek, alto saxophone; Victor Payton, trumpet; Angelina Schwartz, trombone; and Rachel Zuckerman, mallet percussion (xylophone, marimba, glockenspiel)
Junior High Band: Grace Ward, bass clarinet; Sara Hollenbeck, french horn; and David Hoag, trombone.
High School Jazz Band: Sienna Dutcher, tenor saxophone, and Erin Lenihan, trombone.
High School Chorus: Megan Cristaldi, Nevaeha Jones, Ash Matos, Jewel Wright, Frances Ball, Halie Cheng, Emily Hathaway and Bronwynn Wolcott.
Elementary Chorus: Paige Amback, Taylor Mitchell, Mason Roberts, Hannah Ryan, Amelia Acosta and Amelia Almquist.
The concerts will be held Saturday, March 4, with the Elementary Chorus and Middle School Band playing at 1:30 p.m., followed by the junior high band playing at 3:30, and the concerts will end with the senior high jazz ensemble and mixed chorus performing at 5:30 p.m.


In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, the Cat in the Hat came to LMCS to read to kindergartners.





Livingston Manor Central School District will host a snowshoeing event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 4. The event was originally scheduled for Feb. 25. Those who attend can bring their own snowshoes or borrow some from the school. Hot beverages, s'mores kits and other refreshments will be sold by the high school classes. Those who attend should park in the back parking lot and proceed to the football field. All ages will be welcome. In the event there isn't enough snow, a notification will be sent to all families in the district.


Help us wish our Lady Wildcats well in tonight's sectional final. We will gather at 3:30 p.m. outside the new gym entrance for a send off and we welcome the public to join us! Our girls will take on Webutuck at 5 p.m. in the Section IX Class D Varsity Girls Basketball Championship game. Livingston Manor will take on Webutuck at 5 p.m. in the Section IX Class D Varsity Girls Basketball Championship game. Good Morning Wildcats! LMCS is closed today Tuesday, February 28th! The sectional basketball game for today is rescheduled for Wednesday, March 1st.

The Manor Wildcats PTSA will host a Scholastic Book Fair from March 6 to March 10 in the LMCS conference room. Cash will be accepted, as will eWallet payments. Besides the usual pencil and paper type work, it's so very important to engage students' minds and creative ability as well as socialization skills as they work in teams to complete tasks. One of the big kindergarten goals is to have the children leave the k rooms knowing they can work with others, they can "think outside the box" and they learn through different types of activities. The "fun buckets" do just that. We change them up every couple of weeks as teams work through them in a fun, educational way.






Do you think gingerbread houses are only for Christmastime? Not here. Mrs. Carlson’s and Mrs. Bauer‘s second grade classes made Valentine's Day gingerbread houses earlier this month.







Livingston Manor will celebrate its fall and winter athletes at events next month. The modified presentation is scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, in the Livingston Manor Auditorium. The JV/Varsity athletic awards presentations are scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, March 10, in the Livingston Manor Auditorium.
All students who participated on a fall or winter team, including combined teams playing as Roscoe, should be present to show their support and dedication for their team and teammates. All team letters, certificates, plaques and trophies will be presented at this time. Athletes are also reminded that this is a public presentation and they should be dressed professionally. Jeans, T-shirts, work boots and hats are not acceptable attire. Those who have an extenuating circumstance that will prevent them from attending should contact Mr. Eggleton in the Athletics Office before the ceremony to make alternate arrangements to receive awards. All parents, family and friends are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.


Feb. 17 marked the 100th day of school for the 2022-23 school year at LMCS.
First grade students from Miss Smith's class Adeline Smith and Dylan Brooks dressed up for the occasion. Students worked on activities centered around "100" Activities included: reading/writing 100 words, counting to 100 by 1s, 2s, 5s, 10s with their 100 collections, reading books about 100, etc.
