LIVINGSTON MANOR — The final merger study report for the Livingston Manor and Roscoe central school districts was presented Sept. 12 to both districts’ boards of education. Consultants Castallo & Silky LLC presented the report to the boards and to members of the Merger Advisory Committee at the public meeting held at LMCS.
The 131-page report provides facts about both districts’ finances, staffing, student programs, transportation and enrollment. The report also offers recommendations about how the two districts could be combined in a merger. Read the full report here: https://tinyurl.com/MergerReport2022
Now that the boards have received the full report, each board will have the opportunity to decide whether the question of merger should go to a public vote. The boards will meet on Oct. 4 to vote on whether the process will move forward. If a majority of members of both boards agree, a public vote will be held Oct. 26. Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at both schools.
The Oct. 4 meeting at 6 p.m. at Roscoe Central School will be open to the public. More information about the proposed merger can be found on the “Merger” pages of each district’s website:
