The Livingston Manor-Roscoe Central School District Board of Education officially came into existence on Tuesday, Feb. 25, when the seven members elected on Feb. 20 were sworn in by Sullivan BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Robert Dufour.
The members of the board are:
James Buck, Ed Gorr and Tasse Niforatos will serve through June 30, 2028
Roy Rogers and Gary Dahlman will serve through June 30, 2027

The new district was formed following a vote on Dec. 19 by residents of the Livingston Manor and Roscoe central school districts approving the merger of the districts by centralization. The district will officially begin operation on July 1, 2025.
The organizational meeting allowed the board to set officers of the board, appoint interim district officials and approve their authorizations and other items critical to allowing the district to begin operations.
James Buck was sworn in as BOE president, and Ed Gorr was sworn in as vice president.
Superintendent John Evans, District Clerk Marlyn Peters and School Business Official Jeff Froehlich, all who currently hold shared positions in the Livingston Manor and Roscoe districts, were appointed to serve the same interim roles in the LM-R district though June 30, 2025.
